08 Heritage Vibration

08 Heritage Vibration
I just recently purchased an 08 Heritage Classic. I am not new to softails, as having an 01 Duece some years ago. I really don't remember any vibration from that bike at all. But this one in 5th & 6th from 55 mph and higher makes me numb. I thought it was maybe wheel balancing, but on my way home from a show tonight I was doing 70 mph and pulled in the clutch to see if the vibration would go away, and it did. So now that eliminates wheel balancing. It's got to be something in the drivetrain. Any ideas. My dealer told me this is normal for a Heritage?? Friends of mine who have owned them tell me no. It should be very smooth.

My exhaust is stock. I'm no master bike wrench, but I can't imagine that what you're experiencing is related to the exhaust. Keep us posted when you get to the bottom of it.

Spoke with my dealer. The GM said too, it isn't normal and for me to ride another one. This bike still has 10 months factory warranty left. They will fix it... So far I love the bike, and I'll love it even more once the problem is fixed. And yes if they can't fix it I will go to Tampa Harley or Lakeland Harley. Thanks guys I will let you know the outcome. This way maybe Blackrob has something to go on as well.
