Chaps are pretty cool...Always wanted a pair but don't think they'd get much use in hot humid Florida. Man, its too hot in this place even for jeans. Never ride in shorts though....

Then dont look!

Lots of hd's sportin shorts in this part of the world. Sleeveless T's, leather vests with no shirt on underneath... We have incredible summer evenings and theirs nothin like havin the boyz free and feelin the breeze!! lol To be honest, its something I only do occasionally. Have been thinking about chaps for winter riding. Summers are too hot here.

"Most accidents happen within a mile from the home." Only because you spend more time on that road than any others!

Also, 41% of all statistics are made up on the spot!

Is there a reason for not putting on overpants made for riding? They make black mesh pants designed for riding with armor in the knees and hips that cover your butt but still let air though. Better then shorts and not hot as chaps. Also have liners to keep cold and rain out. You just zip them off when you get to where you are going...

Sorry if its a dumb question... I am a somewhat new rider and wear a Joe Rocket Mesh jacket in the heat and save the leather jacket for cooler days. Just seemed like protection is good... Not saying people can't go shorts and T-Shirt, everybody should ride to the risk they are willing to accept.
