Go to your local dealer and sit down on a FXSTC "softtail custom". The bars are only 10" but they will leave your arms straight out and comfortable. I'm 5-8 and the ride is very comfortable. Some states will bust you if your hands are higher than your shoulders.

Okay so i finally make up my mind and now? I sat down to order my stuff, and im getting confused by the whole road6 website. I know that springer risers are a wider size than all other bars i believe? their website (road6customs) says the bars are knurled 4" on center and im not sure if thats wide enough? Jisham is that what you ordered for your bones? I attempted to call them and get their voicemail, the machine saying their outta the office until the tenth, no good. I gotta order before then, sorry more help needed guys.

Jaye, thanks again so much for your help feelin a bit slow here. I ordered the 16" bars, and proper cables from hill country, really hoping that since you and others are around my height with 16's that ill be okay. Once last final thing, i know the rubber bar inserts/mounts? that are stock will flex like a mother with apes, what do ya'll suggest for a aftermarket solution, ive heard from reading other threads poly is great, any brand suggestions?

I owe you all for saving me more gray hair and headache, who would have known ditching my drags after these years would be sucha pain in the a**

I bought a set of poly riser bushings from Outlaw Cycles on Ebay for like $10. They seem to be good quality and shipped fast.

Okay first of guys thanks once more, second im really hating on charter cable (hence my absence). But! All my parts showed, bars were straight from road6 and great, cables from hill country showed up silly fast and were perfect aswell as the new switch harness. Install took an afternoon and a twelve pack with a friend with no problems at all. Woke up the next morning made some final cable adjustments, clicked the button and away I went. WOW all i can say, i havent been this comfortable on a bike in some time, back is straight arms are hung perfect, its like a new bike again. Thank you all for your imput and help it truely was a life saver. Im going to make it on my charity ride this coming weekend and will be doing it more comforably than i ever thought possible. If i can figure out how ill post some pics of my ratty pos ha.
