Solo seat for 87 FXSTC

Solo seat for 87 FXSTC
I was told that a heritage solo seat from 87 to 99 would be a straight bolt on to my existing seat mounting holes in my frame.
I have the opportunity to buy a Le Pera Evo seat. Apparently it was on a 99 softail.
My question is, as this seat was on a 99 softail would it bolt onto mine? At frist look it appears it will however I don't want to buy a lemon.
Any help is appericated
