I did mine with rattle can too. I don't have any local powdercoating places. Mine turned out great. Only cost a few dollars and a little bit of time. I sanded them some, then sprayed them with self etching primer. Then painted them black. No problems. Cheap and looks great.

+1 on powdercoating..last winter I bought a used set off ebay for $20 and had them powdercoated. I had a bunch of stuff done, but I imagine he would of charged me about $40 to do the sliders alone

Appreciate all the advice. I talked to the local HD dealer, and they recommended a powdercoater in the area. How difficult is it to remove the sliders myself or is this something a dealer should do?

yea hot toppers on some, but they are junk imho. i am painting them little by little and removing the hot toppers. thx for the props. your bike is looking bad azz... like the pipes and the slam. ahhh Cash...

I think I posted this in another thread, but I blacked out all my bolts as well. I think it makes a HUGE difference. Just takes time and patience.
