Bought 3 out of state , have the dealer give you a bill of sale that list your trade in (If you have one) as the DISCOUNTED price , you will show the bill of sale to aaa when you register the bike and only pay the tax due on the bottom line, !

In Ohio you pay when you go to register or transfer the title if you pay cash. If you take out a loan then they collect sales tax right there at the bank. At least in Ohio.
