Correction, the fender came up hard on the passenger seat, nice vice versa, LOL

Jesus, all you need is some Novus 2 to removed the scratched portion, then take some touchup paint to fill in the rest, followed by wet sanding it down, then reapplying Novus 2 after. Why waste the money on a small chip and scratch? Is it a show bike or a daily rider? If its ridden alot, its gonna get wear and tear over time whether you like it or not, LOL

Anyway, why are you trying to lower a rocker? They really arent meant to be lowered much if at all anyway. The fender already hugs the rim. Most people who lower their softails, do it to reduce the big honkin gap between the tire and fender. You would be better off with a lower profile seat if your really short or something and have issues planting your feet on the ground.

in my opinion the fault lies with the person who choose this particular lowering kit.. if you simply said you would like the bike lowered, and they said ok and choose a kit and installed it, then the fault is the dealers.. however, if you were like me, i went in with a shopping list of part numbers i wanted intalled, and they installed them, then the fault would've been mine, or yours.. although i will say, even if i choose the parts, i would/should expect the dealer to riase the concern if i choose something that might not work.. i also wouldve thought they wouldve of test rode it before delivery having installed new components.. so in this regard, i think they hold some responsiblity regardless..

sorry for your luck, lets home its the largest scratch it ever gets..

go for a ride, it will calm you down

Looks like a good reason to chop it off.

Do a search and keep a look out on eBay. You might get lucky and find a cheap fender there. Good Luck.

Y'all lower yours to close the gap between the fender and tire. We lower ours to close the gap between the seat and the fender. Capish? I'm 6'3", I promise you it has nothing to do with being short. My 9 year old son can tippie toe, with me holding it up for him.

+1 I don't understand this either. Mine's close to slammed on the stop. The wife and I have bottomed out numerous times, and have had nothing like this happen. I mean kidney jarring, teeth shattering bumps.
