Default Heritage Classis Risers ?

I have an 2007 Heritage Softail Classic. I have stock handlebars on it at this time. They are okay, but I can use a few more inches. (That did not sound good).

Can someone supply me with a part number or something, for a riser? What is involved in putting a riser on?

Easy peasy. You use the stock top piece of your current riser and replace the lowers.

Simple swap that could be done in 10 minutes if not less.

Any riser with that offset bolt pattern will work just fine.

Like these:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custo...Q5fAccessories

You would simply unbolt your current riser....Set your bars down on a pillow foward or behind the riser are a touch...Unbolt the current risers from below the triple tree. Install the new riser in their place put yer' bars back in the risers put the top back on and torque the 4 bolts back down.

10 minute job on a bad day.

Wouldn't you need longer cables, wires and lines?

Thanks for the info. I was told that if I keep within a 2 inch range that I would not have to change out the cables etc etc.

Is this correct?

I was told that you could go 3" on stock cables from a stealer. But I probably wouldn't go much more than 2. And it might take more than 10 min to get to the riser bolts, I know my heritage has a couple plates that cover behind the headlight.

Ur right, not sure I'd said it like that and stopped..

Do up mean up or back, as some risers are staight up and overs curve back,

I went to the Stealership and sat behind a 2009 Heritage. The bars are different and provide me with the couple of inches towards me so that my elbows are in a more relaxed position. Also the bars seem to be more ergonomically position.
I will take off my 1’’ riser, put on a 2” riser and with the 2009 Stock Bars. This would be perfect. Does anyone have a 2009 Stock Heritage Bars that they swapped out? I can really use them.

I used Drag Specialties 2 1/2 pull back risers. They were exactly what I needed. All the stock cables work fine.
Got them on an 05 heritage.
