I just put 100 or so miles on my new Mustang Tripper Solo seat.

Fits like it was made for me.
Oh yah, I made the right choice, whew!

not the whole seat... just you, the saddle, your butt. ie: I changed out the stock Fatboy seat to one from a soft tail standard (after having it reworked by MMC) I now sit about 2 inches further back and almost 2 inches lower than the stock Fatboy seat. the Mustang seat looks like it has a thicker backrest than a stock seat..... and my question was - did the Mustang make him sit closer to the handlebars than the stock seat did........ "did it move him forward?"

Glad that worked for you. My rump thanks me every time I take a road trip on my Danny Grey Solo I have been 600 + Miles and i enjoyed my self. On My stock hd solo at around 400 Miles i wanted to jump off and let the bike go on its own. No enjoyment at all. All i wanted to do was get off it.

I'm considering either the 14" solo or the 17.5" solo, but I cant tell which one of those more closely matches the width of the stock seat on the 2009 Fat Boy.
I WANT the one that is the same width, but I dont see anywhere in the
Harley documentation that says how wide the seat is and measuring it is an exercise in futility
because the seating area is one width, but the seat gets wider as it goes down the sides...
The SEATING area is about 14" give or take, but the overall width seat is closer to 17"

twofish if we go riding this weekend you gotta let me try out your seat. I want a solo but i'm stuck between the mustang and C&C. but if the mustang pushes you forward, thats outa the question. I wanna drop back like 2 inches if possible.
anyone else have suggestions for a 2" kick back but still a good ride? I like to ride for a couple hours at a time and my bike is lowered so I need some padding.
