Default Who has a Haulen *** Backrest?

I'm considering a Haulen *** backrest to go along with a C&C Sport Tour seat on my 2007 Fat Boy. From various pics I have seen, it appears the HA backrest leans/bent toward the back of the fender......is that the case with these backrests? I want one that will appear at a 90° angle to the rear pillion. Any thoughts would be helpful.

It leans back like you said, its due to the bend in the piece of steel that mounts it under the seat.......not worth the $$ IMHO.

I too would like to hear from someone who has one.
Whether or not there is a slight lean angle to the rear means nothing. Seems to me your passenger would be leaning against the pad so...
At the very least you could bend it forward no?

Personally I think the HD backrest is way too bulky looking and at the rediculous price they want not worth the $$.

Red, I agree the HD backrest is to bulky looking back there. I have one that I use for hauling luggage but for every day use I don't like it. The Haulen *** looks clean and simple, however, I don't like the way it leans back, and I'm sure if she leans back like that she will think she is falling off.

I have one, they're nice and of good quality.
Here's a couple of pics of it on with my Mustang seat.
All of my passengers so far have loved it, it's angled just right so it doesn't cut into your back. If you're looking for something to support the low of her back then you'll need something taller, otherwise this one works very well in make your passengers feel secure.

I have a haulin *** backrest and c&c sport tour. It's tight to get your fingers in there to tighten the seat bolt but it will work. I'm very happy with the combo myself and my passenger loves it.

Frankie, have a pic of your C&C and Haulen *** setup that you can share? Which backrest did you get?

Why would you want it straight up and down? The backrest should have a slight backwards angle to it in my opinion, especailly the Haulen *** considering the way it is built.

It isn't so much of a backrest as it is a security blanket for your passenger so they don't feel like they are falling off.
