Default Man am I glad I bought a train over a Street Glide

Well my train is in the shop with a bad wobble. So they give me a street glide to play with til they are done with my bike.

The street Glide is the other bike I was looking at when I got my train. I had never test rode one. Man I'm glad I didn't buy one of those P.O.S. bikes. The thing viberates like a b!tch and the wind from the fairing! Forget about it! bob's your head around like a bobble head doll.

Thank God it ain't mine!

I picked the right bike for sure!

i agree, i recently test rode one, man that thing vibrated at idle like no other.. i really couldnt believe it. and at any speed over 30 the buffeting wind coming over the shield blew my hair and eyebrows like crazy, much moreso then with out the windshield at all.. i too was not impressed with the street glide..

Stock Street Glide = Riding lawnmower.

Slow. Quiet. Cramped cockpit for me at 6"?

Demoed one last week.

I'll stick with the rough around the edges long, low and nasty Night Train fer' now!

I came away from my first demo of an 09 SG with the same complaints. I would like to move up to a tourer and the SG is my favorite far as fit and looks go. So I'm going to give it a second chance to impress me before crossing it off my list.

I know a tech at my local H-D and he said the 09's are solid mounted motors no rubbers anymore

But I guess they Don't Ride Cool...
I took a Gezer-Glide fur a Demo Ride
and had to Stand on my TIP-TOES when stoped..

The one I have is a 07'. with a solid motor and a taller windshield It might be fine.?

The standard might be the way to go as it comes with a taller windshield, and should be easy to add a radio. The Radio is nice!

I put about 50 miles on it so far and still don't feel comfortable at all. Can't wait til they call and tell me to come get my train!

I just hit the 500 mile mark on my new 09 Night Train, loved every mile.
I have a windshield for when bugs take over and they do at times where I live.
So far so good I haven’t needed it. I just can’t get into the Touring model thing.
The motorcycle seems to disappear, like going camping in a motor home.
40+ years of riding and still digging it.
Love my Train
