Default New carb suggestions?

I'm running an S&S E-Carb on my 92' FLSTC that I bought last fall.
It leaks and my indy sez it should be replaced (he also stated that the e-carb isn't the best for this engine). I have no idea how hold the carb is..

I'm looking more toward a mid-priced, reliable replacement. High performace, power, not an issue. And I'd like to keep the S&S air cleaner set-up.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Dave

Mikuni. They have a bracket to make your A/C fit, and in my opinion, it is the better carb anyway.

Mikuni HRS 42 has a little better throttle response but less mileage.
Stock CV carb is also a good carb, gets better mileage.

Mikuni about $250-350, on ebay new, $150-200 used.
Stock cv about $300 new, $100-150 used.

I have both, both are good carbs.

i would think it would be cheaper to rebuild your super e, i have one on my 90 fxstc and rebuilt it, the accelerator stopped working, it really wasnt a bad job.
