Default Valve noise... should i be worried

Now i know harleys can be noisy but i am just still paranoid it sounds kinda like a sewing machine that gets faster at certain rpm's is that normal....

My brother knows quite abit about harleys and says i should be happy my bike is quiet compared to many he has dealt with. but yet i still worry so anyone elses bike noisy?

BTW i run my hookers without baffles so its loud and i still hear it.

You need a louder exhaust. All that will go away then.

Both my Road King and NT make the same valve train noise, its the ticking of the clock, an old timer told me once.

normal noise, hard to get used to but normal. When you see fluids squirting from the engine case, then you can worry.

you may be hearing the counter balance. try some amsoil or mobil 1 and the noise should all but be gone.

Totally agree wit tk353, I switched from Syn3 to Amsoil and the noise reduction was huge.

Good oil is a help, but if you really want to shut it up? get some upper cylinder lubricant. Lucas makes a good product as well as Klotz. you mix a couple oz. in your fuel with each fill up.

I'll add those noises are normal for a hd motor.

Also most aren't using thick enough oil, check your owners manual and pay attention to oil viscosity vs. ambient riding temp. recommendations.
