Default Help figuring out what bike this is from the seat

Title might be a bit confusing but trying to figure out what bike this is from a picture of the seat only, see below.

Looking to buy my step-dad a new seat because this seat is apparently uncomfortable. Anyone want to take a stab at guessing what year, make, model this is?

The reason I posted in here is because my mom thinks it's a softail, but not 100% sure.

What I do know for a fact is that it is a 1996.

Someone suggested getting the VIN and called an HD dealer; well, that worked

Dude, that is a fatboy seat for sure. A Fatboy is a softail. Imagine that.

Or it's a Heritage nostalgia....

Those were limited, and are somewhat rare, and have held their value over the years......Keep the stock seat in a safe place....

When looking for a replacement softails 84-99 will fit

I got the info from a Harley Dealer based on the VIN. If it wasn't so obvious I would just get my mom to ship me the seat and I'd have Corbin give it a fixin'
