It is ungodly loud. You'll get a lot of decel pop and tremendous back-suck during decel no matter how you tune the bike. People will hate you riding with them but it does sound mean as hell. I didn't notice a significant power loss though.

Choice is yours...gets old after a while but it really depends on the group of people you ride with. Do they like loud bikes? If yes, then no big deal. If no, you will be hated.

LOL. good luck with the choice.

son had them on his 07. have you ever been behind a set (with baffles) of them when someone nails it?. I have, and it felt like they busted my eardrums from being so loud...

One word, DON'T.
It won't get you anything but bad looks and lower perfomance.

I had the baffles out of mine last summer they were LOUD, and i lost a lot of low end power. I had pedestrians on the street holding their ears scolding me, and a couple run in's with johnny law about them, so i put the baffles in again for this season. They are loud enough with the baffles in. I would invest in some big city thunder baffles if you are looking for a different sound. I was also thinking of maby cutting the stock baffles in half to see if I can get more sound but keep the back pressure.

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. You will lose low end torque and will gain a bit of sound. I think they are plenty loud as they come stock.

Where could I get these big city baffles? I'm just looking for a little more sound. But i don't want it to be over the top. It's just a couple of my buddies have choppers and there bikes sound mean. My bike is almost stock in comparsion.
