the 210mm tire will fit with no issues on the stock rim that came with a 200mm tire? if so thats great news cause i want a slightly shorter tire to help with acceleration.

The Dunlop 200/55x17 requires a 6.00-6.25 in rim and the Metzler 210/50x17 requires a 6.00-7.00 in rim. So the Metzler will fit the rim.

Thanks again TC88, the couple off at 60 mph would be unnoticed-how true are the speedos anyway, right? I kinda like the tread on the ME880 (nice Pix CH666). The milage TK353 brought up is interesting. I Just got mine a couple months ago with 13,000 on it. The Avon is at the bars and I don't know how worn the original was when it was replaced. I just came to figure they only last 6-7,000 miles, 4,700 seems very short lived. Hows yours wearing CH666?

With that said, if you were traveling at 60mph with the Dunlop, the corrected speed would be 58.18mph for the Metzler. Here's a link to a speedometer calculator.

Bottom line: don't worry about it.

Mike

that sounds right as my stock tire was showing me doing 62 when i was doing 60

Most speedometers are usually calibrated a couple of mph higher than actual speed so that you won't have any issues with LEO.
