Broke mine when doing the bars too. I also broke the crossover. it was fun learning about all those gas lines as gas poured at my feet.

I broke mine too, the new one was different than the orginal hose. I would replace the line to the injectors and not clamp them. where mine broke I could not of repaired it anyway.

Good fixes guys but please remember, If that line comes off or leaks when it is 90 degrees outside and you are going 30 mph down the road, you got about 5 seconds for 3rd degree burns, $45.00 maybe isn't that much to spend on the factory line? at least that line has proven itself in all conditions.

EXCEPT for dummy's who forget to disconnect it before trrying to lift the tank up.

Just a point of curiosity, but I wonder how many factory trained dealer techs have broken the same line/fitting the same way we all did.

i got the new line and the new 1 piece molded line looks better so it is like adding a mod to a harley and for $45 it is cheap. i am just glad it broke instead of the fuel injector. ($450)

I think on some newer models you can use the ford fuel line quick disconnect... i opted to by the $45.00 part like some sucker....One born every minute they say...

If it works on one Softail it will work on all Softails.
They all use the exact same part, I think even the Deuce (FI models) with its odd tank used the same part.

I would be interested in seeing if the Ford parts will fit. That would open a new option for us to swap the line out for one made up using the Ford ends and some braided line in between.
