Did the same thing for my bike, except I used bags that were made for my old Sportser. Paid $650 for those bags and couln't see paying again when they were almost like new. Made the brackets myself and had someone else do the welding.

I used 'bagger tail'. Made it an easy job. I have made brackets in the past. Depending the look you want the brackets can even be bolted together from flat iron from Lowes.

Painted the bags myself. Looking for anther pair.
