I hit my first deer yesterday riding in a heavy wooded area. The bike and I both went tumbling to the side of the road nearly missing a bridge guardrail. I slid mostly on grass but the bike rolled a bit and landed in a deep creek. The pictures might make you as sick as they did me.

Holy crap!!! hope you are o.k! You definitely had some angels with you on that ride.

 

Man that really sucks, that is one of my biggest fears when I'm out riding, there are a lot of deer out where I live, I have come really close to hitting one of them damn things plenty of times. The bike looks really messed up, but I hope you're doing okay!!!

Thanks guys, yeah I saw him on the side of the road facing towards the wooded area. I started to slow down as much as I could and just as I thought I was going to pass by just fine he did a complete 180 and jumped right into my lane. Wasn't anything I could do. I'm not sure if he was trying to hitchhike on my handlebars or trying to carjack me for my bike. You never know.

how about a jacket, did you have one on? I never wear one unless its cold, or raining.
