You hit a deer and still have humor to tell the story that is great. Good to hear you are okay. With how Harley's are selling these days you will pick up a new one in no time.

First off glad you made it through...In 08 I had a spanking new (300miles) 1200 Roadster it was 11:30 am (no respectful dear should be out) I'm doing about 50 or so just groovin, Suddenly out of nowhere I see a dear head hitting my gas tank...It all felt like slow motion nothing else to do but let go of the bars...Long story short bike was totaled, deer was dead I had a funky shoulder for a while...thank the Higher Spirit it was early spring and I was leather clad I slid about 40 feet on may back with just a couple of skinned knuckles...shred my gloves trashed my boots, pants and jacket with flat out road rash...Leather saves...now I have very LOUD pipes!
To those of you that just posted, this happened 3 years ago and he hasn't been active in two years.
To Doc--->If you do come back to join us I'd love to know how things went with the insurance company and if ya got a new bike or rebuilt that one in some badass way?
New member and can t see the pix. Glad you are ok man! Note: a hunter friend told me that a deer will always make 180 turn if they get spooked. If you see the whitetail watch out!!
