88CI or 95CI

I have a 05 Annv Edition Fatboy with the 95 ci engine. In 2005 they made 2 models one had the 88 and a limited edition that had the factory 95. Does your bike have or did it have the Gold stick on Tank emblems and does it say Annv. Edition on the Dash, also it would only be one of two colors silver or black with gold pinstriping. The oil tank is also painted and not chrome on the 95 ci Annv Editions and the stock A/C ring says 95ci
If it has the decal on the tank with clear coat over it and a chrome oil tank it is not the 15 th Annv Edition with the 95 ci (1550cc) engine.
Attached is a picture of my bike before when it was stock , see the tank emblems and the A/C ring if you zoom in on it

So do you have the 88 or the 95.
If you have the 95 add either the SE 203 (factory reccommended cam to complete the Stage 2 up grade) or the SE 204 and a tuner and it wll really wake up. If you have the 88 you will feel a difference with a 95 kit but without cams or head work its not that much over a stock 88

i do have a 95"
According to the parts manager at the dealership, I do indeed have the 95CI, my upgrades will be SE pistons( jugs bored ) SE 211 cams, some port and polish to the heads, adjustable push rods and a few other things( top secret) need to know status( Just kidding). appox. 100+ HP after engine rework. Only the dyno can tell the truth!

The 211 has an idle that is a sound from the heavens aboves. I could listen to my bike idle all day and consider it music to me earholes!!
The 211's make for a high revving good time but they are absolutely worthless without lots of compression. Like at least 10:5-1 to even function as designed.
I had my heads milled, ported, flowed, adjustable pushrods, .030 gaskets, 3 angle valve grind, Vitron valve guide seals and had the rings end gaps hand matched to a set of honed cylinders.
I then swapped my 2-2 V&H pipes for a 2-1 Rinehart to add some pull down low as the 211's do not like to make money til high in the RPM range.
That woke the cookie cutter 95" 211 Dealership build right up and made it pull with authority from 3K on up.
If you do 211's make sure you do lots of compression. Like enough to be using comp releases to save your starter from an early demise!!

MY bike only has the SE 204 cams, SERT and V & H pipes otherwise stock . It made 81 hp 92 tq on the last tune.
Good luck with your build

204 is considered a drop in cam that will work without big compression bumps or headwork.....Nice numbers for having stock heads BTW!
The 211? Not so much. Bump the comp or it will ride like a YZ250 dirtbike. Flat and doggy on the low end with a sudden narrow RPM range hit thats not going to be much fun around town as the power will be so high in the RPM range.
