re-locate to either a vertical or horizontal side mount. Something that mounts to the rear axle end cap. I've seen it on a few custom set-ups, looks sweet!

Mounting the side light is easy, the problem is the hole from the old tailight. I did a fatboy like that and had to remove the rear fender, take off the tailight assembly and whatever holes you want filled in and have your bodyman weld a plate to fill in the hole, use some body filler, then repaint the fender. It does look nice when it's done but you will probably want to relocate the turn signals also so maybe you ought to buy a classic fender on ebay and do the work to that one and keep your original stuff!

I have fabricated a custom stainless bracket & moved my plate under the rear fender on my deluxe. I then fastened two round antique style red glass reflectors in the origianal plate mo8unting holes. I also mounted a LED light under the rear fender to illuminate the plate, ran the wires up, inside threar fender & through the grommet & pluged into the OEM licence plate socket. I then covered the original licence plate light window with chrome tape from a graphics shop. give me your email address I can send you some pics. Cheers

Isn't it hard to se the plate under the fender???[:'(]
[sm=ttiwwp.gif]
I've also been looking for some way to put the plate below the Tombstone light. Kuruyakin have a unit 2098 that looks right, but it does not fit the Deluxe. Over here in Sweden we have bigger plates than the ones in the US, so the plate is protruding up over the luggage rack. And that is soo ugly[:@]
Please post a pic if anyone finds a nice solution[8D]
