Angry How the heck to get compensator nut off

tried putting something between front sprocket and starter sprocket and still no luck. Any tips? the nut is normal thread right? right hand thread? Pulling my hair out. Taking a break going to water park with kids. try again later. thanks to all

Haven't been into any new ones but if memory serves me that is a left hand thread and is put on at a pretty high torque. If I was home I'd look in my Service Manual but I'm a long way from home...Sorry.

The comp nut is normal right hand thread. The nut for the clutch basket is left hand thread.

I stand corrected...It's been awhile since I've had to get in there and do anything.

ok after a 3/4inch breaker bar, 4ft piece off 2 black pipe for extention and a 3/8 drive socket extention to put between the sprockets, Its OFF
Damn I hope I can tighten it that tite when im done. thx all
