I get about 6k miles out of mine Metzeler 880e Marathon on my FXSTC. I do hit the twisties a lot though, so my tires really get a work out.....

low mileage yes, but the handling differences between the Metz and the Dunlop OEM's are well worth the extra expense, for me anyway...a minor consideration, but the Metz tread pattern is a killer look on my bike.

Never got more than 10,000 on a rear until I got the 08' SG, it has 13,500 and still looks pretty good. I'm thinking I should go out to the garage and change it though.

Cords started showing on my original rear tire (from the factory) on my Dyna at 3300 miles. No burnouts, but plenty of hard riding.

I got 8K out of the original Dunlap, the bike has 12K on it now. I'll need both front and rear by the time I make 16K. Two rears for each front, I think that is about average for the Dunlap donuts.

Wish the weather would clear up, darn it.

On my '04 EG, I've run the 402's and I ride them till they're shot and I have gotten as much as 15,500 mi. out of a rear. Lately it's been around 12,500.
What's really amazing is the front. It's just getting down to the wear bars and there is a slight amount of cupping. The tire is the original and there's 54,000 mi. on it. Never had a bike tire get that kind of mileage.
I am changing both tires over to the E3's.

Just hit 11k on my original Dunlops. Hoping to get another 1k out of them. Got quoted a price of almost $400 by the dealer to R&R with new, so I might be doing it myself.
