the last time I went to the harley shop to buy a tire ,I just bought a new bike ,that way I saved $150,my wife thought I was nuts!!!!!!!!!!1

!0k on the factoty Dunlop, 8500 on an avon Cobra and it is toast. These are 200's on a FXSTC.

Last Dunlop was ~6K; Last Metzler was ~11K. Plus I think that the Metzlers ride better. No surprise, I have Metzlers now.

Been riding on Avon Venoms for years. 12K out of a rear isn't unusual. I just changed one out at 10,500, not because it was in especially bad shape but I wanted fresh rubber for an upcoming road trip.

Anyone notice how the cost of tires has shot up recently?

I run a contiental rear tire and i have gotten 12,500 min on the rear. I have never gotten more than 8000 on a dunlop. Been running the contientals for about 5 years.

I abuse the rear tire on most days. Now it's bald at 5,600, but the front still has 40% left. Now if I could figure out to burn rubber on the sides of the tread pattern...hmm

almost everything that use oil has really jumped in price. go figure!

Ive got 9500 on my original rear and its about time to get a new one. I have a hard decision to make now, Ive been waiting to change wheels when I need new tires. Now which wheels and tires to use........
