How do i remove the baffles out of V&H BSL's ???

Default How do i remove the baffles out of V&H BSL's ???

i can see the allen bolt on the outside but then there is a wierd looking bolt/nut in the indside,how do i get that out?does it even come out or is that what i grab on to,to pull the baffle out and how have you guys been getting them out. thank you

The nut is attached to the baffles, just remove the screw and I used an allen wrench attached to vice grips.Reached in inserted the small end of the allen wench into the nut and pulled out.

I'm struggling with the thought of his BSL's being to quiet??

I ran a set of staggereds with no baffles for a few days. It was insanely loud. Like my wife heard me coming home from miles away loud....Like begging for a ticket loud!

It made noises on closed throttle decel that would be considered obnoxious at a Nascar track.

We will be needing a sound clip fatboy...It shall be plenty loud.

Well guys got some bad news. I could not get those baffles out!!! it moved about a 1/4 inch and thats it. i tried everything but these things would not budge. there has to be a special tool for that thing. i guess there just gonna stay on there, for now anyway

There is a word to utilize whilst trying to remove those things..

Repeat 20 times.

I read a post here where a guy had done something ingenious and claimed they literally fell out in his lap.

I repeated the sacred Mantra above 20 times and somehow got the fvckers out. Stay strong and dont give up so fast!!

Errr you did remove the inner bolts right? The ones you cant really reach very well with the pipes on the bike?

I did take that bolt out but not before a good 5 min of pulling. i should have waited for more post as the guy that told me how to do it failed to mention that. quick pic of the wife riding today

i preety much lost the bike to her since i dont ride it. had surgery on my foot and wont be untill a good 2 months till im riding again. She want a Xbones, so lets see how that works out. she a a ducati monster. im gonna leave the baffles to the dealer to take care of.
