man if I could get a decent springer for 10K I'd be all over it. They all seem to be high priced in my neck of the woods. One day i'll run into one i can afford and pick it up. They are sweet bikes. The cvo's are to overpriced or me. If you can swing it then go get it.

The '02 Springer is a keeper. I agree with the poster that said the '02 engines were especially sweet.

Keep in mind, a springer will never be mistaken for a Jap Hardley, no one but Harley makes production springers. I love the look and I love the ride of a springer. People don't understand why I own 2 springers ut to me there is no other Harley.

++++1 definately agree, i had the same descion to make between my 06 springer classic and a 05 deluxe. I loved the look of both especially the lower seating of the deluxe, but the look of the springer front end is so sweet and not that many springers on the road, people mistake it for a vintage harley once in a while and always compliment on how good it looks, only downside is that there are alot less accesories for the springers

I will keep my Springer Cross Bones until I am dead.

I have had it almost a year now and I still find myself going out to the garage to look at it.

Which one of those bikes would do that to you?

There have been a lot of good points about both bikes, and I feel that both are capable of giving comfy rides depending on the person that is riding them. I have an 05 Springer and have since customized it to my liking. I don't know much about motors or rides of other Harleys but I know what I like and I wouldn't trade my Springer for any of them. If you want a bike with a distinctive look, than a bike with a springer front end is the way to go. Where I live and have been, I've gotten several good comments about my bike and the looks of the springer front end. I'm sure there are other Springers out there that might not be so expensive if you are serious about getting one. Good luck
