Default Lower mileage after upgrade

After an exhaust and Air Cleaner/backplate upgrade I have noticed that I'm getting less than 40 MPG. Any ideas?

What were you getting before? A power commander might help sort this out. But it all depends.

Did that include a dyno, or just a canned map?

Buy opening up the intake and exhaust you've allowed the engine to move more air. More air + the same amount of fuel = a hot, lean running engine. So fuel has to be added to the mix to even things out. Also, the added power you're getting from your upgrades just might have you twisting the throttle more and you're unaware that you're doing it.

Yep I heard that, the mileage on my scooter does great out on the highway.
Now you start head up them hills and running around the city it drops. Sure is fun twisting that throttle a time are too!

I was getting 40-almost 50 stock. After SE A/C, PCV, and pipes: low 30s, 35 tops on the freeway.
