Rocker & Rollin', at last

G'day Rockerdan, the wheels are Renegade "Montereys" same diameter as stock and came via Ebay from one of the many "Buy it Now" (dealers) called "Wanaryd". They are at:

They did me a reasonable deal (I think!) for the 2 wheels plus the 2 matching chrome rotors and pulley for US$3200 excluding freight. Before you jump off your seat, take a look at original HD wheels. There is only 1 available to fit the Rocker which is the "Roadwinder" like the ones fitted to the SE Springer and I'm not mad keen on them. They are almost identical in price to the Renegades (or RC Components or Performance Machine) but when you add the fitting kits plus the rotors you end up paying a fair bit more..............but, of course you can get some discounts on HD stuff.
The other BIG difference is the fitting. We all remember the trouble that "Alain" had getting his wheels to fit, well mine were a breeze. Even though the rear wheel is 8.5" and not the original 8" it slotted straight in and the current stock tyre fitted perfectly.
The front was a very minor problem and just needed a 3/32" washer to centralise the brake rotor correctly. I must say here that I had a flush-fitting axle fitted at the same time but I don't believe that this was the cause for the necessity of the washer! No big deal though!
The quality of the chrome finishing is amazing. They are SO shiny it is impossible to tell the shape of the rim without actually feeling it with your fingertips.

Thanks go to you all for your positive comments so here's some extra pics. These plus the earlier pics (except the close-up) were taken in a 40 minute period before my brekky last Sunday morning and all within 1,000 yards from home in Fremantle!
