Default Rear Spokes not recommended??

Spoke to the parts department at my dealer today, and told him i was interested in getting a rear spoke wheel to match the front of the nightrain. He said he doesnt recommend it cause the spokes could break and mess thebike up. Any thought?

That dude is nuts. My softail came with rear spokes and it is almost the same bike as yours. Know a guy with a Heritage that has to adjust his spokes on the rear from time to time because he beats on it so bad doing burnouts etc. I have never had any problems with mine. Just a pain to clean.
