I've had it before, but it's getting more regular now. The crank-hit-cough-pop-sh-t syndrome. Today I actually cranked through it, not on purpose, but just timing. I backed out and killed it taking off, which really doesn't happen. I do still have the pcIII, which has been great. I wonder if it's Obama fuel?

Ok short of it being Obama gas... do you get black smoke when you first fire it up?

Well, there's definitely a richness in the exhaust, raw gas, yeah.

Does you PCIII let you adjust the cranking fuel? If this where a problem with my bike I would adjust down the 'Cranking Fuel' table on my TTS. I dont have any experience with the PCIII to know if that even translates. I assume it would.

Yeah, it is Obama fuel. Someone installed a credit card machine on my bike the other night and I have to swipe my f-cking card for $50 just to start my bike. And it still doesn't run right.......

I also have to buy Obama insurance or my bike will burst into green flames in 30 days........

PCIII doesn't have a cranking fuel adjustment to my knowledge. I did add a bit of fuel at idle, and haven't had a chance to take it back out yet. I don't know if that has anything to do with cranking though, being it's like 650 rpm or something close to that.

Mine will sometimes do that when it has had a hot soak and was idling around the parking area trying to find a spot. I have just kept cranking it till it starts. Most of the time she fires right up with no issues. I have a feeling that it is caused by vaporlock in the inj lines. I don't however smell raw fuel when this happens and has only done it a couple times

Cranking fuel is before idle for TTS, however 650 rpm is too low IMO. Should be around 900 rmp at idle for proper oil pressure. Probably a good idea to take some of that idle fuel back out as a first step in trouble shooting.

Good luck.
