It worked fine on my Heritage. But my sons 07 Wide Glide took a 12mm.

Yes, the WG's use a 12mm. I'm mostly concerned if 6" is long enough. But sounds like you said, 6" is enough to reach the recessed screw?

The one I made was about 4" long, it worked fine. An impact wrench will help alot in the removal.
