I have a 2004 fatboy and i have a spare set of tins that i am getting painted. i really like the black pearl color but i have also loved black all my life. i am torn between these to colors i have bought all the stuff from Harley to do the black pearl but i am second guessing my self. i originally wanted to do something different then just plain old black. Pearl black looks great, and at least you will be different from all the others. Just my .02.

Sounds like to me if you don't do the Pearl Black you will regret it and like Coop said, if it ends up you don't like it you can always re-shoot it.

Do it. Who cares what we think anyway? Reminds me of that old Joe Cocker tune: The Color I Choose. It'll look good either way. I like the pearl paints. Though I don't particularly care for Vivid Black. When I first saw the green on the Fatbone I wasn't impressed. After the decal and clear was shot I liked it a little better. But when it went on the bike.......I loved it, everyone that sees it, loves it. If I hadn't, I'd reshoot it next winter.

I think the black pearl is sharp and as mentioned above, it won't show the scratches or circles in the metal like the vivid black does.
