If you could post a picture of the 07 wheel, that would be great.

When I got home today I checked the wheel to make sure I put the pulley and rotor on the correct side. I had them correct. The picture of the Night Train wheel is the pulley side. The bolts for the pulley and rotor are different sizes. I was sure I had it right but started doubting myself today after reading the posts. I'm starting to believe it's from an 08.

DynaBob, I would still like to see the pictures to compare them to my Standard wheel.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks for the pictures.

That looks like my 07 Standard wheel. The Night Train wheel that I have must be from an 08.

Any 08 owners out there that can post a picture of their wheel?

it must be ............they put brembo brakes on the 08s and a diff rotor so maybe thats why the bolt pattern is diff............but the 08s also have a bigger rear axle so if yours fit it must be an 07................the 07 has a 3/4 axle and the 08 is i belive 1". do you live close to MN by any chance???

I was never able to get the Night Train wheel far enough into the swingarm to put the axle in. The rotor and pully was hitting the swingarm.

I think my 07 Standard wheel and your 07 Nightrain wheel are same. At this point, from looking at your pictures, I think HD changed the Night Train wheel design from 07 to 08. The pulley mount seems to be about a 1/2" longer on my Night Train wheel. The pulley and rotor was interchangalbe between both wheels with no problem (the bolt patterns and size are the same). I knew the 08's had a different axle size (which I believe is metric) but assumed the rest of the wheel was the same. I was told this was a 2007 but I now believe it's an 08. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was an 08.

I've got a ride this weekend so I'm having my tire put back on the standard wheel today until I decide what I want to do.

I'm in WV.

The 08,s have a slighty wider swinging arms to the 07,s so that might be why the wheel wont fit in if it is a 08 wheel?.

I believe that answers the question.

Thanks to everyone that posted. Thanks DynaBob for taking time to post the pictures.
