Dont know if I can help with your passenger footpegs, as I have the V&H duals. I just used the stock bolts and footpegs and mounted them in the hole in the swingarm I circled in your photo, I used the hole towards the rear because my V&H bracket uses the front hole on the other side, but you may be able to use either one. These holes are capped off with plastic inserts that just pop out.
I also dig the looks of those rings you have around all your head lights and turn signals, are those HD or some aftermarket rings? I need to add those to my list too!!! And your seat too... does not look like stock?

Thanks
Thanks for the input on peg locations. I was thinking of the same area, just need to make sure that both sides are at the same height.

The trim rings are all HD. I think they are a big improvement. The seat is the stock one, but I also have a Lepera Silhouette 2up that I use when my lady wants to ride.

When I priced the pipes and fishtails, I think the price for the tails was $130 from m&m cycles. I have read good things about them, so you may want to save a few bucks (I think V&H sells them for $169).

I have the tombstone tail light from softbrake.
but I ordered the one that is not compatible with the plate relocator
so my question is, is does your tombstone tail light have a notch underneath so the plate holder can slide behind it?

If I recall correctly, as it has been a few months since I installed, no notch on the housing. I can have a good look at it and get back to you if you like, but I won't get to it until later when I get home. Let me know.

Brandon,

Is your backrest an HD part, or is it aftermarket? Do you have a part number?

Thanks

Well, it is personal preference, but I read the forums before deciding which ones to go with. In the end, I decided on the V&H, because I heard the plating was better, and the sound was nicer than the Samsons.

I also tried visiting the stealership a few times to see if I could find someone with these pipes, but no luck, so made the decision based on comments on the forums.

nlando,

The backrest is a discontinued HD part for heritage springer. I believe the part numbers are: Drivers seat rail - 52687-97 (about $170) and low backrest pad - 52828-97 (about $160). They are both discontinued I believe, but the rail can be ordered through some HD shops, and the pad I found on ebay. They are pricey these days because HD discontinued them and they seem pretty hot for Deluxe owners. IMHO they are worth the money, adds some back support, but compliments the Deluxe.

Also, I attached some photos of how I mounted my passenger footpegs. And I sent you a PM with a description. WOW I didn't realize how dirty the bike was until I took the close up!!!

The driver's seat rail is still be available. You can get them cheaper thru the dealers who offer 20% discounts thru the internet such as Chicago Harley. The pads are in fact obsolete and unavailable from Harley.

Brandon,

Thanks for the info, it is all making sense now. And thanks for the part numbers on the backrest. I have been looking for the springer seat rail on the forum, and think I may just have missed. Now I will be looking for both parts. The spending never ends.

Thanks again.
