The side of the tire will have the MAX pressure. Always check your tire pressure when the tire is cold. My front tire MAX is 42PSI.
I run 40PSI in it. It has over 5K on it and looks new. I check my
tires air pressure once a week.

The owners manual sez 30 psi for an 06 FXST with OEM Dunlops. That seems a little low to me, considering I run 36-38 in the front tire of my FLSTC.
