Default bike wont start without fob

I dont really need this option, but I want to know how to start it if I do lose the fob.

I figured out how to check the code #s with the fob, so I know what it is. when I put the code in, the book says the red key should stop flashing, it doesn't. the lights start flashing and it wont start.

wtf am I doing wrong? I almost to the point of I dont care

its an 08 Fatboy btw

It's an 08. Don't you have the owners manual. Directions need to be followed to the letter. And you need to have your run switch in the "on" position.

It's like text messaging, I just get one of my daughters to go unlock the bike..and she can get me a beer while she's at it..

Just get a long key chain with a snap clip on the end.
Hook the clip up to a belt loop and stick the fob in your pocket and forget it.

If you look in the back of your owners manual there are cards, credit card sized, that you can write the code number on and stick in your wallet.
It has the "EXACT" procedure on it to put the code in so you can start the bike if the battery in the fob goes dead, you lose it, or forget it.

If you really don't like the security option, I think all you have to do is pull the plug in module out and it goes back to the old 'make sure you lock the switch' mode of operation.
