Nice looking bike, but can you get away without running a light on your license plate?

I think the tri-bar LED taillight is a must-do for the NT. I put the same on mine and I love it.

Thanks alot guys, I really love this thing!

No I can't get away without a light on the plate, the two acorn nuts holding the plate onto the mount have leds in them. They actually look really mean at night! The thing I am worried about is that in Iowa and also in Illinois (just across the river) it is illegal to run the plate mounted vertical, but I think it would take a picky officer to decide to pull me over for that.

Also, what is the easiest way to lower the bike, since so many of you are saying it is a good addition. I am assuming that there are kits out there. I guess I will have to go digging to see if I can find some pics of lowered Trains, before and after, so I can see how much of a difference it will make.

Arlen ness makes a lowering kit for the front and the rear. It lowers the front 2" and makes the rear so you can slam that son of a biotch. It comes with everything including a shorter kickstand, but you still have to get fork oil (screamin eagle heavy duty). Its not hard to do specially with a service manual, and a press. If you dont have a press then take the rear shocks to a service shop you they should press them out and not charges you an arm and a leg to do it like the dealer would. Ebay has these kits all day long.
