Closer rear turn signals

Closer rear turn signals
Wondering if someone can give me suggestions out there. I'm looking to bring my rear turn signals closer to the fender for a cleaner look. Right now they are stock on a 05 Fatboy:
I was at the Harley dealer the other day and there were a couple things I saw. First on a Softail Standard, they look like the same signals but are much closer, would those fit? Or Harley has a new replacement arm to bring them closer:

The thing being is that I bought LED turn signals to fit the stock size, and I rather not go and change that to another style. I know they are kinda ugly, but I do like being seen by cars from behind.
So, question being, does anyone know of a way to get these as close as possible to the fender?
Thanks
Dave

RE: Closer rear turn signals
You can go to www.customdynamics.com and they have the best selection of lighting for Harleys. After you find the lights you want, shop around for the prices. I have found that you can get the lights cheaper through other venues.

Hi Canuk,
I just finished puting on Deuce lights and brackets on my Fatboy. They're even closer than the standard Softail versions. I have an '01 and it had those HUGE fugly signals before. Looks great. You'll need to do some minor fabrication.
I'll post part numbers, what I did and pictures tomorrow when I've got some decent light to take pictures.

I've been thinking about this for awhile now too. I just put on barebacks and detachable saddlebags and would like to move things in also. I like the looks of Kuryakyn's Fender Strut Light (Part# 2280). Closest I've seen yet. Check it out at http://www.customdynamics.com/led_fe...hts_harley.htm

RE: Closer rear turn signals
Here's Duece signals and brackets on my Fatboy.
The brackets on a Deuce fit into a pocket that's machined into the fender strut so some modifications are needed to fit on a standard softail strut. I took each bracked and milled off about 3/16ths off to get it to sit flush on the strut. Since the bracket is a little wider than the standard one, it gets real close to the strut bolt. I machined a slot in the washer (from the chrome strut bolt kit) to fit the trailing edge of the bracket. This will also prevent the signal from rotating.
I also put late-model signals on the front forks.
