Torx Size for Fender Struts?
#11
I ended up getting a 45 & 47 Torx bits. The 45 worked fine and all of them came loose with no problem. The pain in the butt was getting the wires thru that turn signal relocation stem. That was the most time consuming thing. Anyway, thankx for all that gave answers and advice. I think I will switch out those stock bolts on the front of the strut to chrome.

If you lift off the seat, take the ECM off the rear fender, and diconnect the wiring harnes, you will ONLY need to loosen the 4 torx bolts by the seat (2 on each side). Gently lift from the centre (while standing directly behind the bike).... and the WHOLE assemble will come off. It would take about 3 minutes or less. I just went through this exercise and needlessly took everything apart. When I reassembled everything, I tightened up all of the torq bolts that hold the struts to the fender BEFORE I re-attached it. It was okay though, because I used it as an excuse to wash the fender in warm soapy water in my bathtub... haha!
See my last picture.... it went back on just like that.... no problem!... as for torx sizes, it looks like you already have your answer..... JR
