Default Samson exhaust: Street Sweepers or Ground Pounders

I'm going to upgrade the exhaust on my 2009 Night Train. I was originally going to go with some black V&H, but I see those on everything and now I want something a little different. So...

Street Sweepers or Ground Pounders?

I like both. Curious what you all have to say. What style do you like best? Which one has the better sound?

The Ground Pounders look pretty cool. I like that design better of the two.

My 99 train has ground pounders on it, original owner put em on when the bike was new and ten yrs later they've held up well and still sound awesom. But if it was me Id go with the street sweepers. I live down a 50 yard dirt road by the time I get to the end the bike looks horrible, the ground pounders pointing down blow up dirt and any other trash like crazy.

Any particular reasons you feel that way?

I'm actually in the same boat here. i love both sets and cant decide between either. i may go with the SS's due to the possibility of ground clearance in right hand turns. They look like they may have more than the GP's.

I have heard complaints about Samsons on this site, I have had mine over a year and 7000 miles and they still look new, very happy with the quality.

Like mentioned above, more ground clearance with the sweepers. The Pounders do kick up a lot of dirt. I call them sand blasters. Got em, love em, sound better than VH. Big Growl makes a copy of the Big Guns I (2" pipe), they sell on ebay for $135.
