Question rider to rider communication (blueant or Harley)>

I've been doing some research into which communication device will work best for my wife and I when we're on 2 bikes. I like to wear a 1/2 helmet and she wears a full helmet. I'm leaning toward getting the BlueAnt system, but just noticed that HD came out with a new bluetooth setup. http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US

Anyone had a chance to see the new HD set up? What do you recommend?

I've been using the Blue Ant system. It works great and exceeds the specs they give for distance and time of use. They are down to 109 bucks at New Egg. I'm on call 24/7 for work and this allows me to answer the cell and pull over if need be, as well as talk to the Mrs. when we're out for a ride.

Not familiar with the new HD version.

I'm lookin at these. They have a complete system for $710 for 1 bike, 2 up. Includes AM/FM/CB, headsets (for 2), antenneas, mounting brackets, etc. Most of my distance buddies are going to Ultras that already have the above.

As for bluetooth, not ready for that cuz I do know how to disconnect 1 wire at the correct spot now. Also would think that adding a bluetooth connector to the helmet will weigh it down even more even if it is a couple of ounces. It's gonna catch wind hanging out there in the breeze.

This system allows you to communicate bike to bike? If so, what is the range?

The BlueAnt system is a rider to rider set up that will aslo work as a cell phone. I'd like to get a true idea of the range as well? I'm told it's from 400 feet to twice that in the open?

I'm also interested in hearing about this new HD set up. It's not a rider to rider set up though. It's purely a cell phone and mp3 player kind of thing. But if you both have the same cell service, you can call each other and use it as a radio since the minutes would be free. Anyone seen one of the new HD set ups yet?
