Have the Mark III's for about 4 years now. Very happy with the set up and yes, there is almost a conflict with the brake pedal. I'm 6" 4" with a 35" inseam, and usually rest my heals on the pegs. As stated before, the installation is simple. Chris

I have the Mark IV's and I am 6'2. I have a buddy with the III's and they seem to flex with the floorboard. Don't have that problem with the IV's as they are bolted to the frame. I put HD pegs on mine to match the rest of my set up.

I got the III's and the Harley Goodies extensions. I think the extensions maybe take away the problem of the brake pedal being in the way.

Very comfortable ride.

Just put on the Mark III's on my 09 heritage a few days ago. Loving them.. The brake pedal does get in the way though.. Going to buy the EZ Brake Pedal.. I'll get some pics up when I can. I'm only 5'7 but they feel great.. heels rest on the floorboard and top of my feet rest on the pegs allowing me to stretch out my legs.. Install was very easy.. just get a good drill bit and drill four holes in each floorboard.. only issue is the 09 models come with the half moon floorboards so I got the old floorboards instead.. I like the look of them better anyway.

going with the EZ Brake Pedal gets rid of any potential interference between the brake pedal and the Mark 3s. I also installed "TOURING" floorpans on my Fatboy... they move the entire floorboard forward about 2 inches. don't let a dealer tell you thay won't fit.... they are a direct bolt on.

I've posted photos before.... just can't now. my last laptop died with all my photos safely locked away. do a search for sonar_chris; he posted a "how-to-do-it", and where I got all of my ideas.

+1 for XARAN. I'm 5'7", I adjusted them so they are aside and towards front of the floorboards. Perfect stretch for me. I like the fact they are rock solid attached to the frame. Only thing to note: for my Deluxe, the left floorboard is out further, so couldn;t adjust to the position as the right is. But, not by much.

Never had crash bars, so can;t compare. but again, at only 5'7", not sure how comfy they would be. I like the fact that I can stretch without my legs up in the air...
