Default Heritage Bags and Deluxe

Anyone put Heritage bags on a Deluxe? And if so, can it be done without having to relocate the Deluxe rear turn signals?

I am considering what bags to go with for my Deluxe (pipes changed from stock to low pipes) and kind of like the Heritage bags, especially the size.

Thanks.

Just some thoughts ....

The top exhaust/muffler on the Deluxe may get in the way. The Heritage uses the dual shorty pipes which keeps the top pipe down low enough to clear the saddlebag. I suppose you could swap out the exhaust and make it fit.
The Heritage bags have a steel support rail that attaches in two places to the fender struts and one place on the passenger foot peg mount. If you add passenger footboards or saddlebag guards, you will need to install a saddlebag relocation kit (about $11.00). The lower support rail on the bag needs to attach to something.

I guess anything is possible ....

You are going to have to go to different pipes. The Heritage bags will hit the top pipe on the Deluxe. It can be done, it's just going to take a little changing.

Had a chance to go to the dealer today to check things out further. Since my pipes are SE 16 guage performance pipes, they are low and are pretty much like the V and H longshots. The problem with the Heritage bags is the rear end extension of them. However, I discovered that the other softail compatible bags will all fit if you have low pipes on the Deluxe.

I may consider Boss Bags. They have several options that would work, though they ain't cheap!
