pffffft thats all i can say to that............the iron would be my 2nd harley.........i like too do wheelies now and then and the iron would look good with that front wheel up in the air

First off, the AMF versions of Harley are like the step child. They have the name, but that's where the resemblance ends. I've had plenty of dealings with AMF's and they come closer to a Honda than a Harley. Actually the piston and jug off of a Honda dirtbike fit them exactly. As far as the V-Rod, yes it's a Harley, it's built, and sold by Harley, but I think it's their attempt to break into other markets. It's their version of the the Ford Explorer, and the Mercury Mountaineer.

The V-Rod is a Harley, thats modern and not a classic style. No need to say its not Harley as they designed and made them. IMHO they were smart to use an outsourced engine like many other bike makers have done. Its different, but its a Harely. Its just a new style that brings performance and a modern look to the company.
I guess when a V-Rod Destroyer out runs a Hyabusa at a track some cant say a Harley won the race...
