BTW, you made a bunch of good choices. My 07 FXSTC is deep cobalt blue, and looks almost too much like yours. Good thing you don't live around here
Yeah, it usually see my clone at least once at bigger bike rallies. Don't mean to highjack a thread here, but how do you like your highway bar? I went with the Kuryakyn bar but it's not quite wide enough.

For long trips, I use a Route 66 made by T-Bags. I put my tent, sleeping bag and pad in a dry bag made by Ortlieb.

I took a couple of two-week trips on my Heritage Springer. My preference was and is the Kuryakyn Ultra Tour bag strapped to the Motherwell's solo rack. Nice, make that GREAT backrest and it held ALL my goodies. I only put the saddlebags on for such trips and used them for weather gear and tools/road needs (read fix-a-flat). I had the liners for the saddlebags so I just popped out the innerds and put them in the room at night.

PS...I have also used the Kuryakyn bag with the stock pillion but it sets up a LOT higher than the Motherwell rack.

Here she is, stock with the bag on the pillion...

Yeah, we won't hijack the thread, but here's a quick answer. Mine is the HD bar from the dealer. It's just over 29" wide at the outside, not counting the hiway pegs. Works fine, but the bike does look better without these IMHO.
