what a waste of a bike..... only 10000 miles on a bike that old. You should've told that dealer to go f*$% themselves if they can't work on bikes that are over 10 years old.

What a joke. It's an evo, not even a shovel or pan.

Can you imagine pulling into a GM dealership in a 94 Cadillac and them telling you they won't work on it.
What crock of ****. I wouldn't darken their door again.

You sound way to grateful that they would service your bike (for $800) even though it was older than 10 years. Buy a manual and don't go back.

Btw, 1000 miles between bearing repacks is not needed imho.

I have a 1992 ultra. Just had a 10,000 service done .
I bought the bike at the end of Feburary, With 12,561 miles on it .
And I wanted to know the condition of my new to me purchase !
I also ordered the Harley manual for it !
My bearings were repacked and New Seals installed !
They do have seals to protect these bearings !
Time for doing this 10k is 4.5 to 5 hours . But if you
have extra chrome or accessories installed . That can
bump the labor cost !
I was charged $430.00 ( minus oil and filter )at in indy , That was highly recomended by a good friend ! This guy even informed me of the engines compression ! 150 front 148 rear

Well Got her back - Had two new ties and brakes added to the whold 10,000 mile thing so out the door $1,300.00 got Dunlop 402's front and back. I need to split the cases down the road - I have a little oil leak (yhey don't get better) So anothe 3-4 hours and some parts. Also picked up my manual and got a free Polo shirt at the dealer (well I paid for every thing else) VERY HAPPY WITH ALL THE SERVICE AND WORK DONE.
I posted the question on the wheel area and not to much of a responce - I'll keep my eyes open on sealed bearing replacements.

PS Bike fell very tight -- Killer

So some stealers have a 10 year limit on what they'll work on? That is a big steaming pile of sheet! Just when I thought I heard all the BS, then this comes along. Dealer + Customer Service = Pipe Dream.
