I can't wait to see those pictures...I really want to try this mod...it looks really good.
Getting rid of that chrome box and seat post really cleans everthing up and shows off the motor...they should've made them that way from the factory IMHO.

This looks really good. I have been thinking about doing something similar for ages but was put off by the mess of mounting plates for the coil on the seat post. I didn't realise you could just ditch the seat post all together
Did you use all the stock wiring, or did you need longer wires to relocate the coil? Are those 90degree coil ends on the plug wires or straight?
I can forsee some more quality time being spent in my garage very soon!

Yeah, at the petcock you get a few drops. The pain in the *** part when fuel goes everywhere is when you unplug the cross-over line that goes under the neck of the frame (above the front cylinder) There is no shut off when you pull that line and you end up with two holes (one on each side of the tank) pissing gas and you have no hands left to plug the lines!!
