Default heavy breather problems

has anyone heard of a problem with the screaming eagle heavy breather creating a buildup of carbon on the top of the piston due to inefficient fuel burnoff?

Nope. I run one, and I've had no problems.....1.5 years now.

I haven't installed the breather on my deuce yet. My backyard mechanic told me of the problem he heard from a couple of others. Just fishing on the forum for any info. When and if I do put it on, I'll definetely have it dyno retuned. I currently have a stage one and it's been remapped for that already.I can't see where it will be much difference.

What was the guy smoking that told you that? It's only a filter for the air, nothing mystical about it's operation. Benifits to it are more and cooler air than the football style and more intelligent head breather circuit than dripping it into the element as the stock unit uses.

I agree, I have had mine on for about a year with no issues as of yet. I did have the stage one done on it too.
