heel toe shifter
#73
....at first I didn't want any part of the heel shifter (Too many years of moto-x) but one day I decided to devote some time to this friggin' thing and now I can't imagine doing it any other way. It's takes speed shifting to a whole new level...........if you found Osama bin Laden cowering in a fatal position like the little "*****" that he is. Would you put your toe under his nose to F him up or would you "STOMP" his brains out his ears. There in lies the question.......STOMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............. ..Size 11 shoe no problems on the comfort front.....

I have a 07 Fatboy and it was something to get used to having a healtoe shifter. They are nice to have once you get used to it, I ended up changing the stock shift pegs and went with some flat H-D chrome shifters and lowered both of the shifters, keeping me from putting my toe underneith the upshift. It's catually pretty nice, so if you want to keep it on your bike you could lower the rear heal shift and that would solve the problem.
i had a major oh **** moment today..
as some of you might remember i got a 09 xbones in febuary. this is the first bike i have had with floorboards, let alone a heel toe shifter..
WARNING - do not wear carpenter jeans on this bike..
the weather here is just starting to warm up some.. i finally have 200 miles on it.. admittedly i am still getting used to it..
so today, i pull up to a stop light and try to put my foot down, and immediately i notice that my pant leg had blown around and got caught on the heel shifter.. i yanked my leg up and it did free and i was able to get my foot down, JUST in time.. it happened again a later in the ride.. but this time i was prepared enough to handle it better.. that heel shifter is a nuisance, i cannot be the first to expereince this.. i was an instant from dropping the bike..
that thing is coming off..
